Mission Statement

To first do no harm and help the human condition through the constant adaptation to internal and external stressors and imbalances using all naturally occurring biological remedies. Jeffrey S. Sorna DiHom

Herbal Medicine

Herbal medicine is an ancient system of medicine that was the academic domain of kings, shamans, prophets and physicians, yet was generally available and understandable to the average person. It employs plants to prevent and reverse many symptoms and diseases. Traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine from India, European folk medicine, Native American, American folk medicine, eclectic medicine, naturopathic medicine and African folk medicine all have strong roots in herbal medicine.

Physical evidence of humans using herbal remedies goes back to a burial site of a Neanderthal man uncovered in 1960. Anthropologists working in an Iraqi cave, discovered prehistoric human bones. An analysis of the soil around the bones revealed large quantities of plant pollen from eight different species of herbs. Seven of these plants are still used today as herbal medicines, including Herba Ephedrae (Ma Huang).

Othamo Somatic Analysis (Iridology)

Iridology has progressed tremendously since the 1800s. Numerous scientists and doctors have researched iridology, revising and improving the iris chart. Iridology is based on scientific observation. It is the kind of science that cannot be related through scientific tests, for it does not provide clinical information. The state of the art in Western medicine cannot reveal all the answers either. It is difficult to test one scientific system against another when two types of data are given.
Iridology is the science and practice that reveals inflammation, where located and in what stage it is manifesting. The iris reveals body constitution, inherent weaknesses, levels of health and the transitions that take place in a person’s body according to the way he lives.

Iridology is the science of analyzing the delicate structures of the iris of the eye. The iris is that portion of the eye that carries the color. Iris was the goddess of the rainbow in Greek mythology; she was also messenger of the gods in the lliad. Under magnification, the iris reveals itself to be a world of minute detail, a land of many features. I have studied the great work of Bernard Jensen in this field and have studied with the master iridologist, Kenneth S. Pittaway, Phd,ND.

EAV EDS (Electral Dermal Screening)

Several modalities based on the concepts of bioenergetic medicine are finding increasing worldwide acceptance. These modalities have special usefulness in the treatment of some of the chronic afflictions for which other types of therapy continue to be less than satisfactory. One of these modalities is German electroacupuncture (also known as EAV or electroacupunture according to Voll) in combination with various homeopathic and isopathic medications. The use of this method need not exclude other therapeutic aids such as X-rays, laboratory studies and the usual armamentarium of allopathic medicine. In many instances, this new method of treatment is not only exceedingly effective, but more effective than any other methodology. The use of this new type of therapy involves some concepts and practices that are different from, although by no means in opposition to, traditional views of health and disease.

We use the Veradyne Avatar EAV system.

Holistic Nutrition

All our nutritional protocols are selected on individual needs and based around the nutritional concepts of Weston A. Price, DDS, Bernard Jensen, PhD, ND, Royal Lee, DDS and Ron Kosloff, NC

Electrostress

In a world of computers, cell phones, pagers, etc., electromagnetic fields affect the cellular function in various ways. The sympathetic and parasympathetic systems are affected by geopathic stress. When the parasympathetic is interrupted at night by geopathic stress, such as an electric blanket, the metabolic wastes are not disposed of properly or cleared out through the cell membrane. Because of this, the PH changes intra-cellularly and energy production decreases. With the use of EAV, we are able to isolate the electromagnetic stress and recommend a course of action.

Detoxification Programs

All detoxification protocols are based on individual needs. Our protocols include heavy metal detoxification, environmental detoxification and colon cleansing. All protocols are based on herbal drainage remedies, low potency homeopathic combination remedies and exercise and nutritional programs.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is not a new approach to the science of health or healing; it is supported by an extensive history. Indeed, homeopathy may be the history of people searching for health in mind and body.

The earliest beginnings of homeopathy may have been the use of plants and herbs to deal with people’s common illnesses. For example, we know that belladonna (deadly nightshade), salix (willow bark), and chamomile were used as important healing tools in biblical Egypt.

Around 400 B.C., Hippocrates, who is considered the father of Western Medicine, wrote that diseases are produced and cured by “likes”. He observed that very strong doses of some plants could poison, while small, diluted preparations from these same plants could heal. Centuries later, a German physician and chemist, Samuel Christian Hahnemann, M.D., was inspired enough by those writings of Hippocrates and others to steer healing onto a new track.

Dr. Hahnemann had become totally disillusioned with medicine as practiced by his colleagues in the 1800s, which included blood lettings, purgings and strong, harsh medications. Dr. Hahnemann believed that these methods added to the suffering of the patient and did nothing to deal with the disease. He felt certain there was a better way to deal with disease that would be gentler on the patient.

Hippocrates’ observation that “like cures like” seemed to Dr. Hahnemann the course to follow. “Like cures like” means that symptoms in an unhealthy person are extinguished by a substance that when given to a healthy person produces the same set of symptoms. Dr. Hahnemann formally reintroduced this concept in Germany in 1796 as “The Law of Similars”.

Here was a rational and safe method of dealing with disease that would eliminate symptoms and restore health without causing additional pain and distress to the patient. He put his theory to the test in his clinical practice.

In the first two years of research, Dr. Hahnemann accumulated data on some dozen plants, identifying what symptoms they caused and recording how these substances worked as remedies in accordance with the Law of Similars. Dr. Hahnemann found that conventional doses were much too strong to be helpful, so he devised a way of diluting these remedies that enhanced both their effectiveness and safety.

After several years of patient and painstaking experimentation, Dr. Hahnemann publicized his theories. He named his new philosophy of healing “Homeopathy”. In brief, he claimed that:

Homeopathy is a therapeutic system that contributes to the restoration of health in accordance with natural law.

A person cannot be restored to homeostasis or health outside these laws.

There are no diseases as such, only diseased individuals.

An illness is always dynamic by nature, so the remedy too must be dynamic.

The patient needs only one particular remedy at any given stage of illness. Unless that certain remedy is found, the condition is only temporarily relieved not cured.
